The Crew
Spike Davis
is a native of Louisville, Kentucky. He spends most weekends traveling the country performing at comedy clubs and colleges. He is producing and performing on the Spike Davis and Friends Radio Show which airs in markets across the country.
Spike has toured with Steve Harvey, Jamie Foxx, Cedric the Entertainer, and a host of other great comedians. Spikes' style of comedy goes across the board; it not only appeals to the silly side in all of us... It appeals to the intellectual side of us as well. And it doesn't stop there! Spike has the distinction of being televisions first African American game show host, on BET's "On the Beat". His easy smile and warm personality has been the catalyst to the success of his cool but funny kid's show called "What's Up Spike." With numerous appearances on such T.V. shows as "BET's Comic View", "A&E's Evening at the Improv", and "Showtime's Laffapalooza", he is a familiar face to stand up comedy fans everywhere. Besides being an avid golfer, fisherman, cook and workout buff, he also enjoys motivational speaking with youth groups. Spike is definitely a Star.
Yvonne Maurice
A native of Louisville, KY grew up with dreams of being a triple threat entertainer (dancer, singer, actress) She practiced for hours each day. But as we all know, what we plan for ourselves is not always what God has in store for us. She delayed her desires by doing what she thought was expected of her. She obtained her BA in Communications from the University of Louisville, and working in marketing, public relations, and business development for the public, private and nonprofit sectors. But her passion for performance and writing couldnt be hindered as she explored her talents by still performing in gospel plays, writing scripts and blogs, and now shes working as a co-host on the Spike Davis and Friends Show.
Rahsaan Anthony
is a seasoned educator, entrepreneur and innovator. He is a creator of educational tools that help students learn by using music, a real emcee, and up to date hip hop beats that children enjoy. When Everett Anthony attained his Masters of Arts in School Counseling at the State University of New York, as well as a B.A. in Sociology. Rahsaan has been in radio for over 5 years starting with creating a radio program that is still airing in Kentucky. He comes from a very talented family, his sister another scholar in her own right has a nonprofit agency and his brother R Prophet is the internationally known rapper and former member of the award winning group Nappy Roots. Rahsaan brings with him a grounded voice of community education and musical talent to the show.
